  Small maroon to dusty pink flowers 10-15mm in diameter in a large rounded head, with tepals bent back. The stamens are spreading. Borne on stout pedicels much longer than the flowers.

Bulbous perennial to 45 cm with 4-6 prostrate leaves that are dry at flowering.
Bears small maroon to dusty pink flowers.
